Values

I am a registered dietitian nutritionist, but am also a Woman, an Aunt, a Daughter, a Friend, an Athlete, a Consumer, a Conscience, a Voice… a Human. I regard health and wellbeing as a human first and a dietitian second. I believe that finding a real world approach to meeting individual health goals should be a matter of choice, not a matter of access or know-how, and we all have the right to a high quality life .

Hello & Welcome!

I've been fortunate to have experienced some of the most interesting intersections between physical, mental and sociological health sectors throughout my career working with a population of intellectually disabled adults. Since entering the field as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist I've had the opportunity to offer nutrition support to some of those most separated from its practices but most likely to benefit from their integration. Witnessing this first hand has motivated me to establish this practice and make science-backed recommendations common knowledge. My aim is to make sustainable lifestyle practices more available to those willing and ready, to help our communities thrive by fostering positive relationships with food, and promote an inclusive approach to wellbeing. This is where diet culture ends and honest living begins. Welcome to Honest Roots!
